Gregg D. Hollister is a pro studio session musician and highly sought after vocalist with a distinctive style that has kept him in demand in the music circuit for many years. Chances are you have heard him several times "on the air". Some of his commercial studio work includes radio and TV Spots for Kodak, Budweiser, Sony, MCI, JVC, Chanel #5, Coca Cola, Lifesavers, Mars Candy, Club Med, Yamaha Motorcycles (Japan), Riva Motorcycles (Italy), Goldstar and Hertz Trucks to name a few!

Industrial work has included live shows in Europe and South America for corporations like Schering-Plough, Ciba Geigy, Coke and Smith Kline Beecham .

Gregg's soulful voice has been procured for record projects as well by several industry standard major producers such as Andrew Loog Oldham (Rolling Stones), Sandy Linzer (Cory Daye, Savannah Band), Joe Delia (Buster Poindexter), Ron St. Germain Creed, 311), Phil Ramone (Phoebe Snow),Stan Vincent (The 5 Stair Steps), Ron Dante (Barry Manilow), Tommy Motola (Hall and Oates), and Al Kooper (Blood, Sweat and Tears, Lynyrd Skynyrd).

Gregg has also toured or performed with the likes of Vickie Sue Robinson, Cory Daye,Fatback, Frank Weber, David Spinozza, Phoebe Snow, Ben E. King, Al Kooper, Richie Havens, and Rachel York (Les Miz), Ellie Greenwhich and Paul Schaefer "Leader of the Pack" amongst others.

TV work includes a stint on the Uncle Floyd Show (NBC) in the house band in the 80's as well as work for Gary Haberman Productions and PBS.

Film work includes working with Joe Delia/Abel Ferrar on The Bad Lieutenant, (starring Harvey Keitel), The Driller Killer (Indie film with Abel Ferrar), and Grownups (Indie film starring John Stamos) supplying vocals and music for soundtracks.

 

Over the years Gregg has had the opportunity to play with such diverse artists as Willy Bridges (King Curtis), Jimmy Vivino (Conan O'Brien, Fab Faux), Mike Shrieve (Santana), Leon Russell, John Dawson (Strawbs), Vince Martel (Vanilla Fudge), Mark McMillen (Bobby Caldwell), James Leahey (John Waite, Dennis D'Young) and Andy Newmark (Roxy Music, John Lennon).

Gregg has recorded as a member of several groups: 2 albums for "Anthem" ( Buddah), 2 albums with The Rockspurs ( DJM UK), The Daryl Canada Project ( Atlantic), Illogical Poetry (Midlantic) as well as independent projects for Futureband and Kellie Sae (Independent), Fatback, Masayoshi Takanaka (Eastworld/Sony), Rachel York. He has also recorded 3 albums with gospel label OFMB as well as with Tommy James "Hold the Fire" (St Clair Records) and with "The Kootz" (Indie) to mention a few.

Current endeavors include 2 solo CD's "Watching The Time Go" and "No Turnin' Back" and another CD in the works.

Gregg is also playing with various projects on the local New York/New Jersey scene with artists such as Ray Longchamp,
The Flying Obersons, The "A" Band, The Peach Project and The Marco De Sade Blues Band as well as teaching private students.
